Bruschetta with Figs, Ricotta Cheese and Ham

Despite the huge number of ways to prepare bruschetta, this version of the traditional Italian snack deserves special attention. The slight bitterness of arugula and a crunchy baguette with quality olive oil create the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The appetizer has everything you need to fall in love for a long time. To add freshness to the ricotta, you can try adding the zest of 1 lemon to it and leaving it in the refrigerator for several hours. Serve bruschetta between meals to refresh your mouth.

Ingredients

  • About 15 baguette slices, cut diagonally, 1 cm thick.
  • 1 tablespoon. ricotta
  • 15 arugula leaves
  • 110 g prosciutto or other salted ham
  • Figs, cut into quarters
  • Olive oil, for lubrication

Directions

  1. Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Place the bread on a baking sheet and brush on both sides with olive oil. Grill the bread until golden brown (2-3 minutes on each side).
  2. Spread 1 to 2 tablespoon on each slice of bread. l. ricotta. Then press a leaf of arugula into the cheese. Top with a slice of prosciutto and a slice of figs, top with olive oil, and serve.
