Ingredients

  • 500 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 60 g mararine, soft
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 jar tomato peppers
  • 300 g Cabanossi
  • 250 g cheese, rated
  • 2 tablespoon milk, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Put the flour in a bowl (no plastic) and make a well in the middle. Crumble the yeast into it. Add sugar and 125 ml of lukewarm milk, then cover (tea towel) and let rise in the oven for 15 minutes at 50 ° C (top / bottom heat). Mix the rest of the lukewarm milk (125 ml), margarine and salt well and add to the yeast pre-batter. Knead everything vigorously and roll out the dough flat (approx. 1 cm thick).
  2. Spread well drained tomato peppers and diced Cabanossi sausage (possibly also grated cheese) evenly on the dough. Roll up the dough from the long side to make a long loaf. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with 2 tablespoons of milk. Let the bread rise again at 50 ° C for 20 minutes, then bake for 35-40 minutes at 175 ° C (convection) or 200 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  3. Let cool down well before cutting.
