Cabbage casserole with ground beef, rice and tomatoes in its own juice is another variation on the theme of lazy cabbage rolls, which will certainly appeal to their lovers. Ingredients
Minced beef – 400-500 g
White cabbage – 800 g
Round grain rice – 200 g
Tomatoes in their own juice – 300 g
Lemon – 1 pc.
Bulb onions – 1 pc.
Garlic – 4 cloves
Fresh parsley – 10-15 g
Fresh hot pepper – 8-10 g
Tomato paste – 100 g
Olive oil – 30 ml
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Sour cream (for serving) – to taste
Directions
We prepare products. During the cooking process, you will need boiling water (150-200 ml) and a baking dish (I have a shape measuring 20×22 cm).
Remove the top leaves from the cabbage and cut into medium cubes.
Put the cabbage in a saucepan and fill it with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes after boiling. We put it in a colander.
Pour 1-2 tablespoon into the pan. tablespoons of olive oil and spread the minced meat. Fry the minced meat, breaking all the lumps, until almost all the liquid evaporates.
Peel the onion, rinse and cut into small cubes.
Peel the garlic and chop finely.
Pour another 1 tablespoon into the pan for the minced meat. spoon of olive oil, put onion and garlic. Stir and fry for 5 minutes.
Clean hot peppers from seeds, rinse and chop finely.
Add hot pepper and tomato paste to the pan, simmer for 2 minutes.
Peel the tomatoes in their own juice and knead slightly.
We wash the rice several times until the water becomes clear. Boil 150-200 ml of water. Put rice and tomatoes with juice in a frying pan, pour in boiling water.\
Stir the contents of the pan and simmer under a lid over minimum heat for 10 minutes. We turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
Rinse and chop the parsley (leave some greens for serving). Wash the lemon and squeeze the juice out of it (leave a couple of lemon slices for serving).
In a suitable container, combine the cabbage, the contents of the pan and the parsley. Pour in lemon juice, salt and pepper. We mix.
Grease the baking dish with the remaining olive oil. We spread the resulting mass into a mold, tamp it slightly, and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
Cabbage casserole with ground beef, rice, tomatoes in their own juice is ready. Let her cool down a little.
We lay out the casserole on plates and serve to the table, adding sour cream, herbs and a slice of lemon.
