Cabbage rolls

We offer you a simple, but at the same time very tasty recipe for stuffed cabbage with meat and rice.

Ingredients

  • White cabbage – 1 pc.

  • Rice – 1 glass
  • Minced meat – 500 g
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Onions – 4-5 pcs.
  • Ketchup or tomato sauce – 3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Ground pepper (red and black)
  • Sugar
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Prepare cabbage leaves for cabbage rolls (how to remove leaves from cabbage, see the link in the product list).
  2. Chop the onions and carrots.
  3. Fry vegetables in vegetable oil until tender and divide into two parts. We use one part for the filling. In the second part, add salt (1 tablespoon), sugar (1 tablespoon), ground pepper and tomato sauce or ketchup
  4. Fry vegetables with tomato a little, add water (2-3 glasses) and boil the tomato sauce.
  5. Mix the pre-cooked rice, minced meat and vegetable frying. Salt, pepper and mix the stuffing for cabbage rolls.
  6. Let’s spin stuffed cabbage rolls with meat and rice.
  7. Put the stuffed cabbage rolls in a saucepan and fill with tomato sauce
  8. Cooking cabbage rolls over low heat for about 1 hour.
