Cabbage with Mushrooms

You can easily and quickly cook stewed cabbage with mushrooms. This cabbage dish is a great side dish, and cabbage with mushrooms can be a good filling for pies or other baked goods.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage – 650 g
  • Carrots – 150 g
  • Onions – 180 g
  • Champignons – 400 g
  • Vegetable oil – 80 ml
  • Tomato paste – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 ts

Directions

  1. Cut the onion into half rings.
  2. Grate carrots on a coarse grater.
  3. Cut the champignons into slices
  4. Chop the cabbage.
  5. Fry the onion in heated sunflower oil until transparent.
  6. Add carrots to onions and fry too. Add champignons, fry over high heat, stirring constantly, until the liquid evaporates. Add cabbage, fry cabbage with mushrooms, stirring frequently.
  7. Add tomato paste, salt, sugar, ground pepper, vinegar (optional) to the fried cabbage.
  8. Mix well, cover the cabbage with mushrooms and simmer for 2 minutes.
