A simple, inexpensive dish that does not require your constant presence in the kitchen. Cabbage is baked in its own juice with dried basil and rosemary, it turns out very juicy and aromatic. It was already possible to stop at this.) But let’s add mushrooms fried with onions to the cabbage and send them to the oven for a while. Cabbage is saturated with the aroma of mushrooms and becomes incredibly tasty.

Ingredients
White cabbage – 500 g
Champignons – 300 g
Onions – 70 g (1 medium-sized)
Dried rosemary – 1 teaspoon
Dried basil – 1 teaspoon
Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
Ground black pepper – 0.1 teaspoon
Olive oil – 60 ml (4 tablespoons)
For the filling (optional):
Fresh dill – 1-2 branches
Directions
Chop the cabbage finely with a knife or chop it with a vegetable cutter.
Place the prepared cabbage in a roasting sleeve tied on one side. Add dried rosemary and basil, salt, black pepper, and 3 tablespoon to the cabbage. tablespoons of vegetable oil (I have olive oil, but you can use sesame or sunflower).
Tie a sleeve on the other side and shake it gently to distribute the spices and oil evenly over the cabbage. Lay the sleeve in a heat-resistant mold, pierce it in several places with a toothpick (if there is no perforation in the seam of the sleeve for steam to escape). Bake the cabbage in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 30 minutes, until tender.
While the cabbage is cooking, we will take care of the rest of the ingredients. Cut the onions into thin half-rings.
Preheat a skillet with 1 tbsp of olive oil and put onion.
Fry the onion over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, until transparent.
Cut the champignons into medium pieces.
Add the mushrooms to the onion in a skillet and fry for about 10 minutes, until tender.
When the juice released from the mushrooms has evaporated and the mushrooms are slightly fried, remove the pan from the heat.
After a while, carefully remove the form with cabbage from the oven and cut off one edge of the sleeve (carefully, there is very hot steam inside!).
Pour the cabbage into a mold, add the mushrooms fried with onions to it.
Stir and bake for another 5 minutes to blend the flavors and aromas.
Cabbage with mushrooms in the sleeve, ready. Very aromatic, juicy and so healthy cabbage is prepared simply but retained all its valuable properties.
When serving on a plate with cabbage and mushrooms, you can add fresh dill.
