Canape with Bacon and Cream Cheese

by Editorial Staff

Canapeanas serve as an aperitif, that is, to warm up the appetite before the main meal. These small sandwiches with cream cheese, bacon, and quail egg look beautiful on the holiday table and serve as a great snack.

Ingredients

  • Cooked-smoked bacon – 70 g (3 slices)
  • Quail eggs – 5 pcs.
  • Soft cream cheese – 70 g
  • White bread – 100 g
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Fresh dill – to taste
  • Sunflower oil for frying

Directions

  1. Slice white bread into thin slices of any shape. I chose the shape of a square, which can be used to cut cookie cutters. It is better to cut off the crusts. In heated vegetable oil, fry the chopped garlic for 1 minute, then fry the bread in the same oil on both sides, making delicious croutons.
  2. Place the cream cheese in a small deep container, and put the washed, dried, and chopped dill there. You can take any fresh herbs, but it is dill that, in my opinion, is best combined with such cheese. Mix the cheese and dill with a spoon. Prepare all the ingredients for the bacon canapés – cut the bacon into slices, peel the boiled eggs, prepare the bread.
  3. Cut the eggs into halves and prepare skewers (toothpicks can be used instead). Spread cream cheese on each piece of bread in a thick layer over the entire surface. Roll a piece of bacon and place it on the canapé. Secure the top with a skewer and half an egg.
  4. Put canapes with bacon, egg, and cream cheese on a nice plate. Serve canapes as an appetizer to the festive table.
