Canapes are perfect for a quick snack. Such an appetizer can always be prepared and served in 5-10 minutes without making your guests wait. This recipe for ham, pickled cucumbers, and cheese canapes is one of the easiest.
Ingredients
Rye bread – 3-4 slices
Ham – 150 g
Hard cheese – 100 g
Pickled cucumbers – 1-2 pcs.
Fresh spinach – 2-3 leaves (or other greens to taste)
Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
Directions
Prepare the required ingredients. You are free to choose mayonnaise according to your taste: fatty, dietary, homemade, on quail eggs, etc. Any fresh herbs can be used in place of spinach. In addition to food, you will need small canapé skewers.
Cut the slices of bread diagonally and again diametergonally to make 4 triangles from one piece of bread. Brush each piece of bread with mayonnaise.
Cut the ham into pieces of the same shape and size as the bread. Place the ham on top of the mayonnaise bread.
Cut the pickled cucumbers into circles diagonally. Place a circle at a time on top of the ham slices. (You can also use whole pickled gherkins if they are small enough. In addition to cucumbers, you can use tomatoes and other small pickled vegetables.)
After that, cut the hard cheese into the same triangles and place them on the cucumber slices.
Decorate the ham, pickled cucumber, and cheese canapes and secure with skewers. To do this, rinse the spinach leaves well in water, dry, and cut into strips. Use a sharp skewer to pierce the edges of the spinach strips to form a sail, then stick the skewers into the canapes. Serve the ham and cheese canapes immediately after cooking.
