Ingredients

  • Rye bread – 75 g
  • Ham – 100 g
  • Cheese – 50 g
  • Canned pineapple – 1 ring
  • Pickled cucumbers – 1 pc.
  • Cherry tomatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Olives – 3 pcs.

Instructions

  1. Slice the rye bread into slices about 1 cm thick.
  2. Remove the crust from each bread slice.
  3. Cut each slice into 4 squares.
  4. Place the bread squares on a baking sheet and toast in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5 minutes until slightly dried.
  5. Cut the cheese into rectangular slices roughly the same size as the bread squares.
  6. Cut the ham into rectangular slices roughly the same size as the bread squares.
  7. Chop the pickled cucumber into small pieces.
  8. Cut the pineapple ring into small pieces.
  9. For each canapé, layer a bread square with a slice of ham, then a slice of cheese.
  10. Top with a small amount of chopped cucumber.
  11. Insert a skewer through the cucumber and bread to secure.
  12. Thread a cherry tomato onto the skewer above the cucumber.
  13. Add a piece of pineapple on the skewer.
  14. Top with an olive, pushing the skewer through completely to secure all toppings.
  15. Repeat until all canapés are assembled.
  16. Arrange the canapés in rows on a serving platter and serve.
