Canapes with Salmon and Cheese

by Editorial Staff

A bright and tasty appetizer with salted or smoked red fish, cream cheese and herbs will adequately greet your guests on the table and undoubtedly whet the appetite before the main meal.

Ingredients

  • Red salted or smoked fish (salmon, salmon, pink salmon, chum salmon) – 100 g
  • White bread – 300 g
  • Cream cheese – 50 g
  • Dill (greens) – 5-6 branches
  • Cranberries for decoration

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients for the salmon and cheese canapes. The fish can be bought already salted or salted and cut into thin pieces on your own. As a cream cheese, I took soft feta, it is quite salty, so you don’t need to add additional salt.
  2. Place the cream cheese in a small deep container, chop the washed and dried dill there. You can take any fresh herbs, but it is dill that, in my opinion, is best combined with fish.
  3. Mix cheese and dill with a spoon.
  4. Slice the bread into thin slices of any shape. I chose the shape of a triangle, you can use cookie cutters. It is better to cut off the crusts.
  5. Spread cream cheese on each piece of bread in a thick layer over the entire surface.
  6. Lay a sprig of dill on top.
  7. Slice the fish thinly and place each flat piece on the canapé.
  8. Sprinkle with thawed or fresh cranberries on top.
  9. Serve canapes with red fish and cheese as an appetizer for New Year’s and any other festive table

Bon appetit!
