Candied pumpkin is a healthy and tasty treat that you can effortlessly prepare at home.

Ingredients
Pumpkin – 0.5 kg
Powdered sugar – 50 g
Sugar – 100 g
Water – 80 ml
Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
Soda – 1 teaspoon. (for 0.5 l of water)
Directions
Cut the pumpkin into medium to large cubes and place in a deep salad bowl. Fill with water and soda dissolved in it. Leave it overnight. In the morning, drain the water and dry the pumpkin pieces on a paper napkin or on a wire rack in the oven at 60 degrees.
Pour sugar into the cauldron, pour in water (80 ml) and place the container on the stove. Boil the sugar syrup for about 1-2 minutes from boiling. Turn off the heating. Put the pumpkin pieces in it and let cool for about 3-4 hours.
After that, discard the pieces in a colander, pouring the syrup into another container. Cut the lemon into wedges and place in the syrup. Pour over the pumpkin and bring to a boil. Leave to cool for about 2 hours. Then place the pumpkin cubes on parchment paper or on a wire rack and dry in the oven for about 2-3 hours at 50-60 degrees.
After drying, sprinkle the candied fruits with icing sugar. Serve them to the table with a cup of aromatic tea.
