Canned Sardine Sandwiches

Sandwiches with sardines, capers, and lettuce are prepared on crispy toast made from country bread.

Ingredients

  • Sardines pitted canned – 250 g
  • Capers – 4 teaspoon
  • Lettuce (torn leaves) – 4 cups
  • Radicchio salad (shredded) – 2.25 cups
  • Country bread – 4 slices
  • Ground mustard – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil – 2 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 0.25 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  2. Put the slices of bread on a baking sheet, place in a preheated oven, fry for about 1 minute on each side, until golden brown.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the mustard powder, lemon juice, black pepper, and olive oil. Put all the salad leaves in this dressing, mix gently.
  4. Break the sardines into pieces and place on toast. Sprinkle capers over the sardines and top with lettuce leaves. Serve the sandwiches right away.
