Ingredients

  • 2 egg (s)
  • 200 g suar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast (dry yeast)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pinch (s) salt

Instructions

  1. Pour almost boiling water over the almonds and let them stand for a moment. Then drain, peel and halve. Lightly toast the almond halves in a pan without fat.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until frothy. Mix the flour with the yeast and sift over the egg-sugar mixture, add the salt and almonds and knead everything.
  3. Cover and let rest for about half an hour.
  4. Shape the dough into three even rolls, place on a baking sheet with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 40 minutes.
  5. Immediately after baking, cut diagonally into approx. 1 cm wide slices. Let it cool down and serve with coffee, punch or tea.
