Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 vanilla pod, halved lengthways
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 ½ orange (n), finely grated peel
  • 125 g rice puddin
  • 2 banana (s)
  • 1 tablespoon rum, brown
  • 5 tablespoon sugar, brown

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the milk, vanilla pod, sugar and orange peel to the boil. Stir in rice and cover and let soak over a mild heat for 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Fill rice into bowls and smooth out. Let cool down lukewarm.
  2. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthways and then crossways. Turn in the rum and place 2 pieces each on the rice and press in. Sprinkle with the brown sugar. Gratinate with the bunsen burner until the sugar melts and caramelizes. Let cool down briefly and serve.
