Carrots Stewed in Sour Cream

A delicious side dish of carrots can be prepared according to this recipe!

Ingredients

  • Carrots – 250 g
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Water – 250 ml
  • Sour cream – 1.5 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Peel the carrots and cut them into cubes. Send the carrots to the pot. Add salt and sugar. Pour in 120 ml of water.
  2. Add butter to the carrots. Put a saucepan over medium heat and cook the carrots for 15-20 minutes, until soft.
  3. Heat a frying pan and fry the flour in a dry frying pan for 1-2 minutes, let the flour cool for a couple of minutes.
  4. Then add 130 ml of boiling water. Stir flour with water until smooth.
  5. Add flour mixture to the pot of carrots.
  6. Also, add sour cream to the carrots. Stir everything together. Let it boil, simmer the carrots with sour cream for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then remove from heat.
  7. Carrots, stewed in sour cream, are ready. The dish should be served as a side dish for meat or as a hot snack.
