Cabbage casserole with rice, minced meat, and tomato-sour cream sauce is one of the options for lazy cabbage rolls. Mix half-cooked rice with minced meat and cabbage, then fill everything with tomato-sour cream sauce and bake in the oven. Casserole “Lazy cabbage rolls” turns out to be very tasty and satisfying. Ingredients
White cabbage – 300 g
Minced chicken – 500 g
Bulb onions – 2 pcs. (250 g)
Long grain rice – 230 g
Carrots – 150 g
Sour cream – 160 g
Tomato paste – 70 g
Vegetable oil – 60 ml (4 tablespoons)
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Fresh dill – 5-10 g
Directions
We wash the rice several times until the water becomes clear. Pour rice into a heat-resistant container with 300-350 ml of water.
Bring the water to a boil and cook the rice over low heat for 10 minutes, until half cooked. Then leave the rice to cool. Peel the onion and cut it into cubes.
Fry chopped onions in 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of vegetable oil for about 10 minutes, until golden brown. Shred cabbage into thin strips. Peel and rub the carrots on a coarse grater. Combine rice, half fried onions, and minced meat in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Then add the cabbage, salt, and pepper. Mix everything again so that all the components are evenly distributed.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Lubricate the form with 1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil. Put the finished mixture of rice, minced meat, and cabbage in a mold and tamp it evenly.
Fry the carrots in the remaining oil for 5-7 minutes, until lightly browned. Add the remaining onion to the carrots. We mix. Put the carrot and onion frying in an even layer in a mold on top of the cabbage mass with rice and minced meat.
Cooking the sauce. To do this, combine sour cream, tomato paste, 150 ml of water, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix with a whisk until smooth. Pour the tomato-sour cream sauce into the mold, spreading evenly.

Take the Lazy stuffed cabbage casserole out of the oven and leave for about 20 minutes to cool slightly. Cut the cooled casserole into portions, decorate with fresh dill, and serve.
