Ingredients

  • 1 liter schnapps, (30% - 40%)
  • 600 g currants, black
  • 300 g rock suar, coarser brown
  • 2 vanilla pod (s)
  • 2 sticks cinnamon

Instructions

  1. The blackcurrants are picked and washed briefly to free them from plant residues.
  2. Then the berries are filled into 2 sealable glass bottles, as are the remaining ingredients. If the bottles are not full, you can fill up the rest with berries or schnapps.
  3. The bottles are stored light and warm for at least 8 months to a year (e.g. on a window sill on the south side), regular shaking is not necessary.
  4. After this time, the schnapps is sifted through a coffee filter, which takes a while. After filtering and seasoning, you shouldn`t do too much that day.
  5. The sugar is also a guideline, you can easily take more or less.
