Cauliflower Baked in Sour Cream-Garlic Sauce with Cheese

A very tasty, light, and easy-to-prepare dish – cauliflower baked in sour cream-garlic sauce, with cheese. Cauliflower turns out to be tender, with a light garlic aroma!

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower – 500-600 g (1 medium-sized head of cabbage)
  • Sour cream 10-20% fat – 100 g
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese – 60 g
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon + a pinch (to taste)
  • Freshly ground pepper (pepper mixture) – 1/4 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for serving) – 4 sprigs

Directions

  1. Prepare your ingredients.
  2. Wash the cauliflower forks thoroughly and disassemble into small inflorescences.
  3. Bring 1.5-2 liters of water to a boil on the stove, lightly salt (about 1 teaspoon). Send the cabbage inflorescences to a pot of water. Cook the cabbage for 3 minutes.
  4. Drain the cauliflower in a colander and let cool slightly.
  5. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Peel and chop the garlic. In a bowl, combine sour cream, garlic, egg, and ground pepper (I have a mixture of peppers). Add a pinch of salt (the amount depends on how much salty cheese you use). You can add ground paprika or your favorite dried herbs if desired. Mix everything.
  6. Pour the boiled cabbage inflorescences into the sour cream sauce in portions. Dip them well in the sauce on all sides.
  7. Place the cabbage in a baking dish. I have a 1L ceramic baking dish. Pour the rest of the sour cream-garlic sauce over the cabbage.
  8. Place the cheese on top of the cabbage.
  9. Send the form with cabbage to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
  10. Wash sprigs of fresh parsley, shake slightly, and chop finely with a knife. Sprinkle the herbs over the baked cabbage.
  11. Cauliflower, baked in sour cream-garlic sauce, with cheese, ready. Such cabbage is good both as an easy independent dish! and as a side dish for baked meat or fish.
