Champignons Baked with Mayonnaise and Spices

by Editorial Staff

An appetizing hot appetizer of champignons baked in a mayonnaise-based sauce, it is a simple, but at the same time spectacular dish that can be served on its own or as a side dish. The addition of ground paprika and dried garlic adds spice to the dish. Champignons, wrapped in a spicy “fur coat” from a thick sauce, turn out rosy and crispy on the outside and very juicy and tender on the inside. Easy, fast, and delicious. Try it!

Cook: 45 min.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Medium champignons – 1.2 kg
  • Mayonnaise – 300-350 g (to taste)
  • Ground sweet paprika – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Ground dried garlic – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon without a slide
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Fresh herbs for serving – 5-10 g

Directions

  1. Wipe the champignons with a paper towel, peel them, and put them in a deep container. You can rinse the mushrooms with water, but do not soak them so that they do not absorb excess water.
  2. Add ground paprika, dried garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add mayonnaise. On fast days, you can use lean mayonnaise.
  4. Mix everything well. Cover the container with cling film and leave the mushrooms at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, turn on the oven and preheat to 250 degrees.
  5. Place the wire rack on a baking sheet. Place the mushrooms in the mayonnaise sauce on a wire rack at a short distance from each other.
  6. Place the mushrooms in a preheated oven and bake for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Chop the herbs finely. Place the hot baked champignons on a plate and sprinkle with herbs.
  8. Champignons baked with mayonnaise and spices are ready. Serve the dish immediately. Bon Appetit!
