Chebureki with Cheese in the Oven

by Editorial Staff

Let’s cook chebureki in the oven, and even with cheese! The dough is incredible, you should definitely try it! And the cheese won’t let you down, it’s very tasty!

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 250 g
  • Milk – 125 ml
  • Butter – 3 tablespoon.
  • Dry yeast – 1 teaspoon.
  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon.
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon.

For the filling:

  • Cheese – 150-200 g
  • Fresh dill (if desired) – to taste

For greasing the chebureki:

  • Yolk – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Make a well in the flour, add the milk, yeast, and sugar to it.
  2. Mix everything slightly and leave it for a few minutes.
  3. Add a pinch of salt and soft butter.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes. The dough should be soft.
  5. Put the dough into a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let the dough rise in a warm place (for 40 minutes).
  6. Knead the prepared dough slightly, divide it into three equal parts, and form the buns.
  7. Prepare the filling. Grate the cheese on a grater. I add the finely chopped dill along with the cheese to one of the chebureki.
  8. Roll each bun of dough into a round sheet of 2-3 mm thick.
  9. Put a third of the cheese on half of the sheet.
  10. Cover the filling with the second half of the dough and slightly pinch the edges.
  11. Go over the edges with a fork so that the cheese filling does not “run out”.
  12. Put the chebureki on a baking tray greased with some butter and sprinkled with flour and leave them for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven up to 180 degrees.
  13. Grease the chebureki with the egg yolk on top. Bake the chebureki in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
  14. Let the cooked chebureki with cheese cool down a bit.

Enjoy your meal!
