Cheese Buns with Tomatoes and Green Onions

Long wanted to show you this crispy cheese buns recipe! The dough is just shine, versatile, always soft as down! You can try different fillings. Today the filling is prefabricated: cheese, chives, tomatoes and mayonnaise. Watch and cook for health! We cook especially for you!

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 400 g
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Pressed yeast – 6 g
  • or dry yeast – 1 incomplete teaspoon
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Water – 100 ml
  • Butter – 30 g

For filling and decoration:

  • Hard cheese – 50-70 g
  • Mayonnaise – to taste
  • Green onions – to taste
  • Cherry tomatoes 3-4 pcs.
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. For the dough we will use pressed yeast (you can replace it with dry yeast).
    The butter should be soft. We take milk and water in equal quantities. We heat the milk to 37-40 degrees.
  2. As usual, we check and activate the yeast: we make a quick dough. We make a depression in the flour, into which we pour warm milk, add sugar and yeast, crushing them with our fingers. Mix milk with sugar and yeast. Let the dough stand for 10-15 minutes.
  3. When the yeast starts working, add salt, water and egg.
  4. Knead soft dough. We introduce the butter last so that the formed film does not let the dough get too windy and retains the gas released during the operation of the yeast to the maximum (the dough will be soft and porous).
  5. Cover the bowl with the dough with foil and leave in a warm place for an hour. The dough should rise well.
  6. Let’s prepare everything for decorating and filling the buns.
    Finely chop the green onion.
  7. Lightly knead the finished dough, divide into 12 equal parts (I have 55 g each) and round. Let the dough balls stand on the table under the plastic for 10 minutes, let them rest.
    Then we roll the koloboks into small cakes.
  8. Melt the butter.Rub the cheese on a coarse grater.

    Grease the center of each cake blank with melted butter and spread a little grated cheese.
  9. We wrap the dough with cheese tightly in a roll, which I send in paper capsules for baking (you can not use them, but it is more convenient with them).
  10. Put the buns on a baking sheet. We give the buns a good distance (in the oven with the light on and a cup of boiling water) for about 20 minutes.
  11. Then we take out the baking sheet with the spaced buns from the oven and heat the oven to 180 degrees. Mix the yolk with milk and grease the surface of the buns.
  12. Pour mayonnaise on the buns, making a zigzag pattern.
  13. Cut the cherry tomatoes into slices. Put 3-4 slices of tomatoes on top of the buns and sprinkle with green onions.
  14. The oven is preheated, it remains to sprinkle the buns with the remaining cheese and send to bake.
  15. We bake cheese buns at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
  16. The dough is soft and very tasty, the cheese is fried and crispy. And these buns look delicious, so cook for health!
