Cheese Custard Buns

They are eaten in an instant! Custard buns with cheese are very unusual in taste, tender, with a crispy crust on top and soft on the inside. A great option for a cup of coffee or tea. It is not difficult to prepare them, the main thing is to observe all proportions.

Cook: 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • Butter – 100 g
  • Milk – 125 ml
  • Water – 125 ml
  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Salt – 1/3 teaspoon
  • Flour – 140 g
  • Cheese – 100-150 g

Directions

  1. Cooking choux pastry. Pour milk and water into a saucepan, add salt and butter. Melt the butter and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  2. We fill up all the flour at once, stirring quickly. We put the pan on the fire again and stir for a couple of minutes. As soon as plaque appears on the bottom of the pan and the dough gathers into one lump, immediately remove the pan from the heat and let the choux pastry cool slightly.
  3. We introduce eggs into the dough one by one. After each broken egg, knead the dough thoroughly until smooth.
    Rub the cheese on a fine grater and add to the dough. Mix everything so that the cheese is evenly distributed. The choux pastry is ready.
  4. Put the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment using two teaspoons.
    We put in a preheated oven and bake cheese custard buns at 190 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
  5. Custard buns can be served just like that or filled with savory filling. This will make a great snack.
