- 125 ml milk
- some butter, or margarine
- a bit salt
- 50 g cheese, rated
- 60 g wheat flour
- 1 egg (s)

- Bring milk, fat, spices and cheese to a boil. Then take the pan off the hob, pour in the sifted flour all at once, stir everything into a smooth dumpling and heat it for about 1 minute while stirring. Immediately put the hot dumpling in a bowl and stir in the egg. Cut off the dumplings with a wet spoon, add them to boiling salted water or boiling soup and let them steep for 5 minutes.
- These dumplings taste particularly good as an addition to tomato soup.
