Ingredients

  • 80 g walnuts
  • 80 g suar
  • 1 kg sweet cherries, prepared
  • 100 ml water or cherry juice
  • 500 g preservin suar, 2: 1
  • 2 lemon (s)
  • 3 tablespoon amaretto

Instructions

  1. For the nut brittle, chop the walnuts into small pieces and roast them lightly in a coated pan without fat. Add sugar and caramelize while stirring until light brown. Spread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, let cool and break into small pieces. Wash and core the cherries. Cut a total of 1 kg into small pieces and mash lightly. Then bring to the boil with water or the cherry juice and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Stir in the preserving sugar and lemon juice and bring to the boil. Let simmer for another 4 minutes while stirring. Take off the heat and only now stir in the amaretto and walnut brittle. Place the glasses and lids in a large saucepan in good time after washing, add hot water, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Leave in hot water until filled. Then drain upside down on a cloth. To fill the jars, place them on a damp cloth. Pour in the cherry jam, close the jars directly, turn them upside down and turn over after 10 minutes.
