Ingredients

  • 1 jar morello cherries (capacity 700 g)
  • 1 orange (s), zest and juice it
  • 20 g vanilla puddin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ vanilla paste
  • 1 cinnamon stick (s)
  • possibly sugar, optional

Instructions

  1. Put the cherries with their juice in a saucepan, pour 75 ml of the juice into a glass. Mix the cherry juice with the vanilla pudding powder and set aside.
  2. Wash the orange with hot water and rub dry. Rub the peel and squeeze the orange. Add orange juice and zest to the pot. Add the cinnamon stick and vanilla paste and bring everything to a boil. Fold the smoothly stirred starch into the cherries and simmer for about 1 minute so that it binds. Take it from the stove and let it cool off. Remove the cinnamon stick.
  3. Tip: If it`s not sweet enough, add a little sugar.
  4. Fits and tastes good with pastries such as waffles, pancakes, Buchteln etc.
