Ingredients

  • 150 ml milk
  • 100 g rusks
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 720 ml cherry (s), from the glass
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 125 g suar
  • 1 point vanilla sugar
  • 500 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 75 g semolina
  • 1 point baking powder
  • 100 g almond (s) (flakes)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Warm up the milk a little. Break the rusks into small pieces and pour the lukewarm milk over them.
  2. Drain the cherries well. Separate the eggs.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff. Whip the egg yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Stir in the quark and lemon juice. Mix the semolina and baking powder and stir into the mixture. Stir the soaked rusks until smooth and stir into the quark mixture. Then fold in the egg whites.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread the cherries on top. Spread the rest of the quark mixture on top and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / convection: 150 ° C / gas: level 2) for about 40 minutes.
  6. Then dust the cherry michel with powdered sugar.
