Chicken Breast Stuffed with Asparagus

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 4 Pieces
  • Asparagus – 12 Pieces
  • Cheese – 4 Slices (mozzarella or provolone)
  • Lemon juice – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Lemon zest – 1 Teaspoon
  • Black Pepper – To taste
  • Ground paprika – To taste
  • Garlic Powder – To taste
  • Olive oil – 1

Directions

  1. Cut the fillet into a book, open, salt and pepper to taste. Then drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with a little lemon zest.
  2. Place a slice of cheese and three asparagus stalks inside each fillet. Close the fillet.
  3. Season each fillet with salt and pepper, sprinkle with paprika and garlic powder. Rub the spices into the meat.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the breasts on both sides until golden brown. Cover the frying pan with foil and place the breasts in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand under the foil for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately with pesto sauce, fresh baguette, and a glass of white wine.
  6. The chicken breast is very juicy!
