Ingredients
Chicken fillet – 1 pc.
Raw smoked bacon – 2 strips
Tomato – 1 pc.
Cheese (suluguni) – 70 g
Chicken egg – 1 pc.
Corn flour – 6 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil for frying – 1 teaspoon. For the filling (optional):
Lettuce leaves – 2-4 pcs.
Tomato – 1 pc.
Directions
To cook chicken chops in the oven, prepare all the ingredients you need.
Cut the chicken fillet horizontally into two halves. Beat off fillet pieces on both sides. Season with salt and pepper
.Beat the egg with a fork until smooth. Sprinkle cornmeal on a wide, flat plate. Season each chop in cornflour, then dip in a beaten egg and dunk in cornflour again.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat or slightly above medium, brush with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Place the corn-breaded chicken chops in a skillet and fry for 30 seconds on each side (alternating if necessary) until the breading is slightly browned and firmly attached to the surface of the meat.
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Cut the tomato into slices about 0.5 cm thick. Cut the long strips of bacon in half.
Place the fried chicken chops on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place the bacon slices on top of the chops.
Add 2 tomato slices (medium-sized) to each chop.
Sprinkle the tomato and bacon chops with grated cheese.
Place the chicken chops in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Baked chicken chops with bacon, tomatoes, and cheese are ready. When serving, the chops on a plate can be served with lettuce and fresh tomato wedges.
