Chicken Fillet Baked with Rice

This dish is hearty and delicious, perfect for a homemade meal. Diced chicken fillet is baked with rice in sour cream sauce. And on top is a delicious golden crust of melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 300 g
  • Rice – 150 g
  • Sour cream – 250 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Water – 120 ml
  • Flour – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Ground paprika – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken fillet into small cubes. Boil rice until half cooked, about 7-10 minutes, in salted water. Throw the rice in a colander, let the water drain. Rice need not be rinsed.
  2. Combine rice with chicken directly in a baking dish. Stir. For the sauce, combine sour cream, paprika, salt, black pepper, and flour.
  3. Stir the ingredients for the sauce, add boiling water and mix thoroughly again. The sauce should be smooth, without lumps.
  4. Pour the sour cream sauce over the rice and chicken fillet. Top it all up with hard cheese grated on a coarse grater.
  5. Bake rice with chicken in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, under a lid or foil for 20 minutes, then without a lid for another 15-20 minutes.
  6. Chicken with rice in sour cream sauce is ready. Serve the chicken fillet rice casserole hot.
