Chicken in Mustard Sauce with Asparagus

by Editorial Staff

Try the light and juicy chicken breast with a savory mustard sauce and crispy, vibrant asparagus. This is a great alternative to regular fried chicken and rice. The dish can be served for a holiday!

Servings: 3-4

Cook: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts – 2 Pieces
  • Asparagus – 150 Grams
  • Cream 33% – 100 Milliliters
  • Mustard – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Dried Herbs – To taste

Directions

  1. Prepare your ingredients.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Beat the chicken with a rolling pin or hammer through plastic wrap (you can use a plastic bag). The meat will be soaked in spices and become the same thickness.
  4. It turns out two pieces of chicken fillet of medium thickness.
  5. Fry the chicken in a grill pan until tender.
  6. Let the finished chicken rest so that it is saturated with its own juice. Do not cut it in the heat of the heat.
  7. Meanwhile, boil the asparagus. Dip it in boiling and salted water.
  8. Boil for 3-4 minutes.
  9. Then immediately dip the boiled asparagus in ice water, so the vegetable stays crisp and does not lose color.
  10. Now it remains to prepare the sauce. Combine cream, mustard and herbs.
  11. Mix well and put on low heat.
  12. Cook until thick. The prepared mustard sauce will shrink, this is normal. Don’t be alarmed.
  13. Serve the chicken with mustard sauce and asparagus, drizzled over the fillet with the sauce. Delicious with red wine.

Bon Appetit!
