Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken, shredded, or chicken breast fillets

  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek, or other chili paste
  • Vegetable broth, instant, or salt
  • pepper
  • Flour

Instructions

  1. Whisk 2 eggs in a shallow bowl. Put flour on one plate and breadcrumbs on another.
  2. Mix breadcrumbs with 1 teaspoon sambal oelek, vegetable broth or salt to taste, and pepper to taste until evenly combined.
  3. Dredge 400 g chicken (shredded or breast fillets) in flour, shaking off excess.
  4. Dip floured chicken in beaten egg until fully coated, shaking off excess.
  5. Press egg-coated chicken into spiced breadcrumb mixture, coating all sides thoroughly.
  6. Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry breaded chicken for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 74 °C (165 °F).
  7. Serve hot with side dishes.
