Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken, shredded, or chicken breast fillets
  • breadcrumbs
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek, or other chili paste
  • Vegetable broth, instant, or salt
  • pepper
  • Flour

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs, then place the flour, breadcrumbs and the beaten eggs individually on flat plates. Add the desired amount of sambal oelek (or other chilli pastes, alternatively you can also use very finely chopped chilli) together with the vegetable stock or salt and pepper in the breadcrumbs and knead well so that everything is well distributed. Caution: season according to taste and of course not too much!
  2. Press the chicken breast fillets or strips into the flour, knock off any excess flour. Now dip the floured chicken in the beaten eggs and then press it into the breadcrumbs and spices so that it is covered on the outside. Finally, fry the breaded chicken in a pan with plenty of oil until golden brown.
  3. Important: With side dishes, it can be more than 2 servings.
  4. Tip: You can also add chopped (naturally unsweetened) cornflakes. Other spices can also be added to the breading, for example herbs, very finely chopped garlic or even honey.
