Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 1 small can Mandarine (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar, (white wine vinegar)
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ cornstarch or flour
  • 400 g rice, basmati rice is best
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °.
  2. Wash the chicken breast, pat dry and parry. Fry well on both sides in a pan in a little oil, then place in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Put the mandarins with their juice, the brown sugar, the soy sauce, the tomato paste, the vinegar, the finely chopped onion and the cornstarch in a container and puree everything with the blender. Put the mandarin sauce in a pan, bring to the boil, season with salt and pepper and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Pour the sauce over the chicken breast and place the baking dish in the oven for 40 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, prepare the rice.
