Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, (approx. 400 g)
  • 1 can beer, (500 ml)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • some water for the baking dish

For the marinade:

  • some mustard
  • some Maggi
  • some salt and pepper
  • some paprika powder, noble sweet

Instructions

  1. First wash the chicken thoroughly.
  2. Then preheat the oven to 150 ° C (convection).
  3. Now you open the beer can and take out 1/3 of the beer. Then cut the clove of garlic and half an onion into small pieces and put them in the can. Put some pepper, salt, Maggi and paprika powder in the can.
  4. Mix the mustard, Maggi, salt, pepper and paprika powder together according to taste and brush the chicken well with it.
  5. Now stick the chicken with the underside on the beer can. Put the other half of the onion in the neck of the chicken to prevent the steam from escaping so quickly.
  6. Put some water in a baking dish and place the chicken on the beer can. Then put the baking dish with the chicken in the oven. The water is there so that you can get the baking dish clean better and faster, because the fat no longer burns.
  7. Bake for between 75-90 minutes.
