Ingredients

  • Chicken – 1 Kilogram
  • Garlic – 3-5 Cloves
  • Carrots – 1 Piece
  • Gelatin – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Pepper – 1 Pinch
  • Spices – 1 Pinch

Directions

  1. Wash the chicken, dry it, remove the skin and bones. It is better to use different parts (thighs, fillets, legs) to make the chicken roll in jelly at home more juicy. Cut the separated meat into small pieces
  2. Peel the carrots, wash and cut into small pieces. It is better to use a small carrot or half a medium carrot. Peel and chop the garlic.
  3. Combine meat and vegetables in a deep bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste, add your favorite chicken spices. Pour in the gelatin and pour in about half a glass of warm water.
  4. Mix everything properly (preferably by hand, not with a spoon) so that the gelatin dissolves well and the meat is saturated with spices.
  5. The workpiece must be transferred to a baking bag, tying it first on one side and placing the meat there. The second option, how to cook chicken roll in jelly, is to use a juice bag, which can be placed in a tall saucepan and cooked on the stove.
  6. It is necessary to select the appropriate heat-resistant form in order to lay out the roll. Flatten the meat and tie the other end of the baking bag tightly. Use a needle or a toothpick to make 3-4 punctures to allow steam to escape during the cooking process. Send the roll into the oven for at least 1 hour, and if necessary, leave it for another 10-20 minutes.
  7. When the roll is ready, it must be left for a couple of hours, and then put into the refrigerator until it cools completely. Only after that you can carefully cut the bag and serve the roll to the table.
