Chicken Rolls with Crab Sticks and Melted Cheese

An original snack made from simple and affordable ingredients – both for the holiday and for every day! Sprinkle the beaten chicken meat with grated melted cheese, lay out the crab sticks, roll up the rolls and fry. Crab sticks add tenderness and juiciness to dryish fillets, and cheese is responsible for a pleasant creamy taste.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 500 g
  • Crab sticks – 250 g
  • Processed cheese – 100 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Bread crumbs – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/3 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 100 g (about 6 tablespoons)

Directions

  1. Prepare all food. Buy processed cheese and crab sticks of good quality. I used crab sticks chilled, not from the freezer. It is advisable to use a chicken fillet that has not been frozen – so the rolls will be juicier.
  2. Rinse the chicken fillet and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut the fillets into thin slices – according to the number of crab sticks. I got 10 layers.
  3. Use a kitchen hammer to beat the chicken meat into chops (about the length of the crab sticks), placing cling film on top so as not to break the fibers. Salt the broken chicken pieces. Pepper if desired.
  4. Grate the melted cheese on a fine grater. Place some grated cheese on top of the fillet.
  5. Place the crab stick on the edge of the bed.
  6. Roll the chicken meat into a tight roll. In the same way, form rolls with the remaining cheese, crab sticks, and chicken meat.
  7. Pour flour into one plate, breadcrumbs into the other. In a deep bowl, beat eggs with a pinch of salt. Breaded chicken rolls in flour, then dip in the egg mixture and then roll in breadcrumbs on all sides.
  8. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet. Place a batch of rolls in hot oil, seam side down. Fry until golden brown over medium heat. This will take 3-5 minutes.
  9. Flip the rolls over to the other side. Reduce heat to the lowest setting. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 15-20 minutes. When piercing chicken meat, clear juice should be released. Then fry the remaining rolls.
  10. Place the finished rolls on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil. Chicken rolls with crab sticks and cream cheese are ready. They can be served hot or cold, on their own or with a suitable sauce.
