Chicken Rolls with Crab Sticks and Melted Cheese

by Editorial Staff

An original snack made from simple and affordable ingredients – both for the holiday and for every day! Sprinkle the beaten chicken meat with grated melted cheese, lay out the crab sticks, roll up the rolls and fry. Crab sticks add tenderness and juiciness to dryish fillets, and cheese is responsible for a pleasant creamy taste.

Chicken Rolls with Crab Sticks and Melted Cheese Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken fillets and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut fillets into thin slices, roughly one piece per crab stick.
  3. Place each chicken slice between cling film and flatten with a kitchen hammer until thin. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Grate processed cheese finely. Place roughly equal portions of grated cheese on each flattened chicken piece.
  5. Place one crab stick on the edge of each chicken piece.
  6. Roll each chicken piece tightly around the crab stick and cheese to form a roll.
  7. Set up breading station: beat eggs with a pinch of salt in a bowl, place breadcrumbs in a plate. Coat each roll in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs on all sides.
  8. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, place rolls seam-side down and fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Flip rolls over, reduce heat to low, cover pan with lid, and cook for 15-20 minutes until chicken reaches 74°C/165°F internal temperature.
  10. Place cooked rolls on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot or cold.

Bon Appetit!
