Ingredients
Chicken wings – 800 g
Potatoes – 600-700 g
Soy sauce – 50 ml
Vegetable oil – 30 ml + for greasing the baking sheet
Ground turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Ground coriander – 1/2 teaspoon
Ground ginger – 1/4 teaspoon
Ground nutmeg – 1/4 teaspoon
Ground black pepper – to taste
Ground red pepper – to taste
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Directions
Before you cook the baked chicken wings and potatoes, prepare the food. Thanks to a large amount of aromatic spices, chicken meat will be very similar to what is cooked on the grill.
Rinse the chicken wings thoroughly under running water, pat dry with paper towels and remove the third (thinnest) phalanx.
Combine the soy sauce, oil, coriander, ginger, black and red peppers, turmeric and nutmeg in a deep bowl. Add 2/3 teaspoons of salt and marinade the wings for 20 minutes. Better to put the bowl in the refrigerator.
Peel the potatoes and cut into slices 0.7-0.8 cm thick. Place the potatoes with an overlap on a high-sided baking sheet, greased with vegetable oil, and salt.
Chop the chicken wings on skewers (for stability it is better for two because we will need to turn them over) and put them on top of the potatoes on the sides. Ideally, meat should not touch vegetables. Pour the remaining marinade over the chicken and potatoes.
Place the baking sheet with potatoes and chicken in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 40-45 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn the meat skewers over to bake the chicken on the other side.
Baked chicken wings with potatoes are ready.
Serve the chicken wings baked with potatoes to the table, garnish with herbs.
