Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • some salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 4 chicken breast fillet (s), cut into strips

For the sauce:

  • 2 onion (s), diced
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, small, finely chopped
  • 800 g tomato (s), peeled and diced

Moreover:

  • 500 g yourt, Turkish
  • 2 onion (s), cut into thin rings
  • 1 large flatbread (s) or white bread, approx. 500 g
  • 2 spring onions, finely sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC top / bottom heat, 180 ºC convection.
  2. Prepare the tomato sauce as follows. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Steam the garlic and onions until translucent. Add the tomatoes and bring to a boil. Season with freshly ground pepper and salt and simmer over a medium heat for 15 minutes.
  3. Then cut the pide into small cubes and spread on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  4. Then heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and fry the chicken well all over. Season with freshly ground pepper and salt. Keep warm. Finely puree the tomato sauce with a hand blender and fold in the parsley.
  5. Spread the toasted bread on flat plates. Pour the tomato sauce and yogurt over it. Then distribute the chicken pieces on the plates. Serve garnished with onion rings.
