Ingredients

  • 500 g onion (s)
  • 40 g butter
  • 250 ml broth
  • 150 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 100 g processed cheese with salami
  • 40 g butter
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 100 ml broth
  • 300 ml cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ chili powder
  • some chilli, fresher, as needed

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and cut into small pieces. Melt 40 g butter and fry the onion in it. Pour 250 ml of stock and simmer until the onions are soft.
  2. Melt 40 g butter in another saucepan and stir in cornstarch. Deglaze with cream and 100 ml stock and melt the processed cheese in it. Season with chilli powder and salt. Add fresh chilli as needed and add sugar to taste. Now stir the onion mixture into the cheese sauce.
  3. You can also serve pasta and meatballs with it.
