  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 700 g Chinese cabbae
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon cream cheese (herbs)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Paprika powder
  • Chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Let the oil get hot in a large pan and sauté the cut onion briefly. Cut the Chinese cabbage into approx. 2 cm pieces and add to the onion. Season with salt, nutmeg, paprika and a little pepper or chilli and fry for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Shortly before the end of the 10 minutes, either cut the clove of garlic very small or, best of all, rub it into the pan on the kitchen grater and let it fry. Then pour in half a cup of water and bring to the boil, turn off the stove and add 2 tablespoons of cream cheese (preferably herbal cream cheese) and stir well so that a little sauce is created from the water and the cream cheese.
  2. As a main course with rice, pasta, bread or as a vegetable side dish!
  3. For non-vegetarians: The variation with the addition of ham cubes is also highly recommended!
