Instructions

  1. First mix the butter, sugar and salt together for approx. 5 minutes until very creamy. Then the eggs are gradually added and stirred into a homogeneous mass.
  2. Then add the dry ingredients and the squeezed banana to the mixture and stir to form a smooth dough. If the consistency of the dough is a little too firm, add a little splash of milk.
  3. Then the baking-proof chocolate droplets are added to the dough and folded in. Then use two spoons to spread the batter of the chocolate banana muffins on the 12 muffin cases. Alternatively, use an ice cream scoop.
  4. The muffins are then baked at 170 ° C top / bottom heat for about 20 minutes. Check the baking progress with the stick sample.
  5. Then let the muffins cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. If you want to conjure up delicious chocolate banana cupcakes from the simple chocolate banana muffins, you can decorate them with a chocolate buttercream as a topping, for example.
  7. For the chocolate buttercream (note: the preparation cannot be seen in the video), heat the cream in a saucepan until it begins to simmer gently. Then add the chocolate in small pieces and let stand briefly. Then stir the chocolate cream with a whisk until a homogeneous mass is formed.
  8. Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until it is creamy white. Then add the chocolate cream and whip again well.
  9. It`s best to put the chocolate buttercream in a piping bag and use it to decorate the muffins. Optionally decorate with one or two banana chips.
