Ingredients

  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, stir the butter with the sugar until frothy. Sift the flour, baking powder and cocoa over it and mix in until a soft dough is formed (this is best done with your hands).
  3. Shape 16 walnut-sized balls out of it with moistened hands. Place 8 balls each with plenty of space between them on a baking sheet.
  4. Dip a fork in water and flatten the balls with the back of the fork. This creates a grooved surface. Moisten the fork again and again!
  5. Bake the cookies for 15-18 minutes until they have set a little. Take the tray out of the oven, let the biscuits cool down for 5 minutes, then leave them to cool completely on a wire rack. As they cool, they become even firmer and slightly juicy on the inside!
