Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 120 g suar
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 apple, e.g. Boskoop
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ clove powder
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking soda
  • 100 g walnuts, chopped
  • 75 g powdered suar
  • 2 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter and sugar until frothy, add the egg, add the sour cream and continue to stir.
  2. Grate and add the apple (if necessary a little lemon on the apple so that it does not discolour).
  3. Mix the flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, cloves, baking powder and baking soda and stir into the dough spoon by spoon. Finally stir in 60g walnuts (the rest for the decoration).
  4. I divided the recipe into 24 clafoutis (small muffin tin) and 6 muffins. The little clafoutis are more handy for snacking on the Christmas plate. But you can also conjure up 18 muffins out of it. Pour the batter into the molds.
  5. Preheat the oven (top / bottom heat) to 180 ° C and bake for about 25 minutes.

  8. Let the muffins cool down a little and cover with the cinnamon icing. Spread the rest of the walnuts on the still moist muffins.
