  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

  • 60 g almond (s)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 125 g flour
  • Almond (s) to decorate
  • Cherry (s), candied, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Chop the fruits and hazelnuts and place in a bowl. Add the eggs with sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon and rum and beat until frothy. Mix the fruits and hazelnuts into the egg mixture. Then stir in the flour sifted with baking powder and starch. Pour everything into a greased loaf pan and decorate with almonds or candied cherries. Bake in a preheated oven at 150 ° C for about 80-90 minutes. The bread stays fresh and juicy for a very long time. It also tastes great when coated with butter. Baked in smaller box forms, it is also ideal as a gift. Tip: If you don`t like lemon peel, you can replace it with candied pumpkin. The dried fruits can be varied according to taste (e.g. cranberries, apricots, dates, etc.).
