Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 6 egg (s)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 point baking powder
  • 120 g almond (s), round
  • 125 ml red wine
  • 4 tablespoon orange juice
  • 2 tablespoon rum
  • 1 packet aroma, (finesse orange aroma)
  • 200 g marzipan, diced

For decoration:

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter with the sifted sugar, vanilla sugar, rum and orange flavor until frothy. Stir in the egg yolks one at a time. Mix and add red wine, orange juice and liquid vanilla flavor.
  2. Beat egg whites into snow. Mix flour with baking powder, sieve and mix with ground almonds. Mix alternately with the egg whites under the yolk mixture and stir in gently.
  3. Turn the chilled, diced marzipan lightly in the flour and mix into the dough.
  4. Pour the dough into a buttered, floured Gugelhupf tin and bake in the preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 60 minutes. If necessary, cover with foil after three quarters of the baking time. Let the Gugelhupf cool down and turn it out.
  5. Cover with chocolate glaze and decorate with marzipan stars.
