Ingredients

  • 150 ml cream
  • 150 ml milk
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch basil, (or dried basil)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 ciabatta (350g for ready-to-bake)
  • 600 g tomato (s)
  • 8 slices ham, cooked
  • 200 g cheese, rated

Instructions

  1. Puree the cream, milk, eggs, garlic and 3/4 of the basil with the magic wand, season with salt and pepper. Cut the bread into approx. 16 slices. Also cut the tomatoes into slices.
  2. Place about 8 slices of the bread in a greased baking dish, cover with half of the tomatoes and 4 slices of cooked ham. Then sprinkle 100g of grated cheese on top. Pour half of the basil cream over it. Then pour the remaining slices of bread, tomatoes, ham, cheese and finally the remaining basil cream on top.
  3. Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 220 ° C for 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining basil leaves before serving.
