Ingredients

  • 2 bunches soup vegetables, clean and cut into 1 cm cubes
  • 300 g can / s lentils, rinse off
  • 500 g potato (s), wash, peel and dice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 ¾ liter beef broth
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 100 g bacon, mixed
  • 1 tablespoon clarified butter
  • 10 sausages, Viennese
  • parsley

Instructions

  1. Rinse the lentils, bring to the boil with the vegetables, potatoes, bay leaf and thyme in the beef broth and simmer for 30 minutes.
  2. Peel the onion and dice as well as the bacon. Fry both in clarified butter. Add the bacon mixture and sausages to the lentil soup, cover and heat, but do not let it boil.
  3. Garnish with parsley if you like.
