Instructions

  1. For the dough, mix the butter with the cream cheese in a bowl with the whisk of the hand mixer. Mix in 80 g sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks. Mix the flour and baking powder, sieve over the mixture and stir in.
  2. Roll out the dough between two layers of cling film into a rectangle (approx. 20 x 30 cm). Peel off the top cling film. Brush the dough with melted butter, mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon in a small bowl and generously sprinkle the dough with it. Set aside about 1 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar on a large plate.
  3. Roll up the dough rectangle from the narrow side with the help of the foil, roll the dough roll all around in the remaining cinnamon sugar, wrap tightly in the foil and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C, line a baking sheet with paper. Unwrap the rolling pin, cut into slices approx. 1/2 cm thick and place them on the baking sheet. Bake the cookies lightly on the middle rack for 12 minutes.
  5. Take out the cinnamon buns and leave to cool on a wire rack.

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
