Ingredients

  • 5 onion (s)
  • 2 cans tomato (s), chunky
  • salt and pepper
  • 0.5 ½ bunch basil
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 600 g sausae, (Salsiccia Puliese without fennel)
  • 1 glass water
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), possibly seeds removed
  • some olive oil

Instructions

  1. Peel onions and cut into rings. Peel and chop garlic. Cut sausage into slices. Chop basil and parsley.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add sausage and fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove sausage from pan.
  3. Add onions and garlic to the pan and fry for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  4. Return sausage to the pan and stir for 1 minute over medium heat. Add tomatoes and water to deglaze the pan. Stir in basil and parsley.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low and stew for 45 minutes.
  6. Serve with fresh white bread or spaghetti.
