Classic Tartlets

Tartlets – baskets of dough – you can bake yourself. Classic tartlets are made from shortcrust pastry.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 200 g
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Water (cold) – 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. To prepare shortcrust pastry for tartlets, you will need: butter (it is recommended to use fresh and high-quality butter, not margarine), flour, water and vinegar.
  2. How to make classic tartlets:
  3. Put the recommended amount of sifted flour in a bowl, add cold oil.
  4. Using a knife, grind the mass into small crumbs.
  5. Pour cold (ice) water.
  6. In the next step, we introduce vinegar.
  7. Mix the ingredients for the dough until the mixture is smooth.
  8. We spread small pieces of dough in molds, distribute it around the entire peri, form small sides.
  9. We send the tartlets into an oven preheated to 180 degrees, wait 20 minutes.
  10. Fill chilled shortcrust pastry baskets with your favorite filling.
  11. Unfilled tartlets can be stored in a dry place in an airtight container for several days.
